The Seventh Annual Helpers Fund Golf Tournament, held on June 11, 2005, had a full field of players. Prior to play all entrants were treated to a full buffet breakfast which included 18 delicious breakfast offerings. There were also putting and chipping contests before the start of play.
The tournament was an 18-hole scramble for foursomes. There were refreshments on the course, as well as various contests at each hole.

The tournament was followed by a steak luncheon and the drawings for the After Lunch Raffle, the 50/50 contest, and the winning awards for the various contests on the course, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for the golf tournament.

As one entrant, who has played in all eight tournaments and wanted to remain anonymous said, "There is just a nice atmosphere. It's friendly and it's fun. Some of the signs on the course were really funny." He was referring to signs placed on each hole that had famous sayings by golfers such as: "When Craig Stadler was asked why he was using a new putter, he responded: 'my old one didn't float very well'." and, Mark Twain said: "Never pick up a lost ball while it's still rolling."
