Nine Scholarships Awarded for 2008-09 School Year
Through your generosity, the Fund was able to award eight scholarships and awards, as well as administering a ninth one, funded by Brant Lake Camp.
Won't you help us help those who need a boost to start them on the road to achieving their dreams? Each ticket is $25.00, and all proceeds from the Fund's share of ticket sales go directly into the Scholarship Fund.
50% of the sale of tickets goes into the "winning pool." The first ticket drawn will receive 60% of the winning pool; the second 30% of the winning pool, and the third 10%.

2008-09 Scholarship Program Awards
Nine Scholarships & Awards
The Scholarship Committee, headed by Mary Jane Dower, and the Board of Directors at its May meeting, awarded eight scholarships and awards, as well as administering a ninth one, a nursing scholarship, funded by Brant Lake Camp.
Two JSP Renewals
Ryan Griffen, North Warren, and Caitlyn Breuer, North Warren, were awarded an additional year’s scholarship under the JSP Science Scholarship Program. Ryan is attending Morrisville State College and Caitlyn is attending the Albany College of Pharmacy.
New Scholarships
Three other Scholarships were awarded this year. Aaron Griffen, North Warren, will be attending SUNY Cobbleskill; Bruce Carpenter, North Warren, will be attending SUNY Potsdam; and Amelia Welch, Warrensburg, will be attending Wells College.
Fund’s Awards Program
There were three Helpers Fund Awards given this year. They went to: Zachary Raymond, North Warren, will be attending Cazenovia College; Albert Breault, North Warren, will be attending SUNY Potsdam; and, Carrie Vanderwarker, North Warren, will be attending Adirondack Community College.
Nursing Scholarship
Marybeth Joyce, North Warren, was the first recipient of the Brant Lake Camp Nursing Scholarship. The two-year scholarship is funded and administered by the Camp. The Fund does the distribution of information and the forwarding of recommended applicants. The scholarship is valued at more than $3,000.
Tickets for the 2008 50/50 Scholarship Raffle will be available beginning in October, and will remain on sale until November. The drawing will be held at the Fund's annual meeting, November 23rd.
