'06 Golf Outing A Mixed Season

It was a beautiful day for a golf tournament!
Braving a brisk north wind, a full field of golfers, some dressed in winter garb, braved the elements at the 9th Annual Helpers Fund Golf Tournament on June 10, 2006 at Green Mansions Golf Club.

A full breakfast was served prior to the start of the tournament, as well as a full lunch before the winners of the tournament and the winners of the various contests were announced.

Finishers

First place in the 18-hole tournament went to the foursome of John Palermo, J.C. Palermo, Rich "Dawg" Greco and Bob Palermo;
Second went to Al Matrose, Mary Matrose, Paul Matrose and Siobhan Matrose; and,
Third went to John Potter, Dot Potter, Jaime Potter and Don Converse.
Mark Davidson won the chipping contest and J.C. Palermo the putting contest.
There were 45 different award winners.

Nick Amodeo, of Pottersville, still hits them far and straight as he nears 90-years-young.

The Helpers Fund is a 501(c)3 charity which has been serving the geographical area of the Tri-Lakes region since 1997.
